Hello everybody!
How are you doing? Yesterday we too a day off from work. It was a national holiday here in Spain… the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary! Well, here in Spain people say “St. Mary’s day”, but I found online that this is the formal/official name of the day. Anyway, so I spend the day out, doing different things. In the morning, after going to mass, we went to see an exhibition about Gustav Klimt, an Austrian painter from late 19th century. It was really good. My sister and Miguel Ángel also went to the exhibition, and then they came back home with us and had lunch with us.
During the afternoon we went to Montes del Pardo. This is a forest with holm oaks (?) and cork oaks (I never used these words before…). Anyway, a Mediterranean forest. This is where La Zarzuela (the residence of the Royal Family) is located. It is full of deers, bucks, wild boars… So many new words for me hahaha. People usually go there to hunt them, but we love grabbing some food and drinks and spending the day there. have a nice St. Mary+1 day :P
