Last Friday, the finals of the Google Code Jam 2006 were held in New York City. As my brother said, it is interesting looking at the citizenships of the finalist:

- Great number Eastern Europeans, leaded by Russians, Polishes
- Far East people. Leaded by Chineses and Japaneses.
- North Americans, most of them from the USA, but also from Canada.
- Western Europe, with a horrible representation, of some Germans, 1 Spaniards, 1 British and no French or Italian representation…

What’s wrong with us, the powerful Old Europe? Oh, btw, this is the top 3, composed by 2 Russians, and a guy from the USA whose name is more like Yao Ming:
  • Petr Mitrichev, Russia - $10,000
  • Ying Wang, U.S. - $,5000
  • Andrey Stankevich, Russia - $5,000
